Aflatoxin B2, produced by the fungi Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus parasiticus, is a less common but still toxic aflatoxin found in crops such as corn, peanuts and nuts. Although it is less potent than aflatoxin B1, it can still cause liver damage and is classified as a carcinogen.
